The Koori Youth Justice Program (KYJ) aims to reduce the number of young Indigenous people who are at risk or are already involved with Police and the Juvenile Justice System as a result of criminal activities.

KYJ is for Aboriginal young persons who are both mandated or voluntarily subject to entering the criminal justice system.

The program supports and links young Aboriginal people aged between 10 – 20 years with relevant local Aboriginal Community Support Organisations.

Key components are the exploration of the young person’s Cultural Connection, and to ensure they meet Community Based orders.

Referrals to KYJ can be done by yourself, or by professional or legal agencies.
