Integrated Family Services (IFS) supports parents and families to create and sustain a safe and nurturing environment, which in turn supports the development and stability of children and young people.
The programs operating from IFS are to assist the further development of self-determination of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in East Gippsland, including its children, young people, and families with children.
Referrals into IFS can come via Child Protection, other professionals, school staff, family members or self.
A staff member works with the family in a way that respects the persons worth and individuality. The worker’s role is to assist and empower the family to meet their goals.
