Children, Youth and Family Services (CYFSU)

Welcome to GEGAC, and more specifically, the Children, Youth and Family Services Unit (CYFSU). The programs operating from this unit are, as our name indicates, all specifically designed to assist the further development of self-determination of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community, including its children, young people and families within our program catchment areas.

Gippsland and East Gippsland Aboriginal Co-operative (GEGAC), Children, Youth and Family Services Unit (CYFSU) aims to support parents and families to create and sustain a safe and nurturing homelike environment, which supports development and stability of children and young people within the family environment.

Whilst programs and staff can change from time to time, the principles governing our work do not. We have developed a Charter which we believe outlines how we strive to achieve the work we undertake with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities within the Gippsland region.
